Halloween 2012

I usually celebrate Halloween every year but this year I was like “Meh, I don’t think I really feel like going out” and didn’t prepare a costume.  Of course that changed when I saw everyone getting in the spirit, dressing up, posting photos in their costumes etc.  Funny enough, all of my homegirls had the same thoughts about Halloween and didn’t prepare either. Literally on the day of we decided, “Why not? We live in Miami, let’s go party somewhere!”

I didn’t feel like spending money on a brand new costume (especially on such a late notice), so I rummaged through my closet, found a bunny ear set I bought earlier this year, a one-sy (spelling?), corset, fishnets, boots and a belt and decided to be a bunny. I put my own little spin on it and decided to bring my persona “Ze Choklit Bunnie” (one of my nicknames) to life.  I think it turned out pretty good, don’t you?

My homegirl Jaz was Chonga-licious and dressed up as a gangsta and my homegirl Yesi was a boxer babe.  After we were all finally dressed and ready it was 1am and we decided to hit up the Hardrock.

There was a bunch of crazy costumes out, I saw Psy (Gangam Style), Wilfred the dog, and many others.  Kitty cats seemed to be very popular this year.  One guy dressed up as a blunt, a chick dressed up as Mystique from X-Men but I have to stay the standout costume was Optimus Prime.  We partied at Pangea (they had a Techno night going on but I wasn’t really feeling that at all) so we moved over to Passions where they were playing a variety of music.  All in all we had a great time and didn’t have to break the bank for costumes!
